One of the reasons for the development of a country is the transportation system. Currently, every country is ahead with transportation system. To keep pace with the times, the first thing that comes to mind is our transportation system. From schools, institutions, colleges, offices, courts to reaching every employment, there is no alternative to solve the problem of transportation system. But traffic congestion is one of the problems in our country. One of the solutions to get rid of that problem is Dhaka Metrorail.
Our dream metro rail has been built in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh. As Dhaka is one of the most populous mega cities in the world, this metro rail is meant to eliminate traffic problems in this city.

Dhaka Metrorail Ticket Fare
The minimum fare of metro rail is 20 taka, after which additional fare will be added by 10 taka every two stations. The fare from Uttara station to Agargaon will be 60 taka.

How to use Metrorail ticket vending machine?
- The machine has two types of languages. Bengali and English language.
- After first setting the language for the instructions, a passenger has to click on the ‘Single Journey Ticket’ option, after which, the starting station name will be displayed in green color on the screen.
- Passenger must select a destination.
- Destination and fare information will be shown on the right side of the screen.
- Then, the passenger has to enter the ticket he wants to buy at the bottom of the screen.
- Each passenger can buy 5 tickets at a time.
- Then about inserting money into a designated port will be displayed.
- The machine will inform the customer of the amount they have inserted.
- Once the correct amount is inserted, the machine will print out the ticket from the bottom left side of the screen with the money change.
- Passengers cannot use large notes to pay fares at the machines.
- The ticket machine screen will show the note that can be used to pay the specified fare.
- Passengers will get help from the ticket counter staff if they have any problem for metro rail tickets.
- Ticket machines will accept any notes used in Bangladesh, but worn or torn notes should never be inserted into the machine.
